Grenache blanc Sauvignon
"Les Petites Jamelles" are fruit forward, smooth, well-balanced and easy to drink wines. They were carefully elaborated by Les Jamelles' winemakers, who are recognized specialists of the Pays d'Oc.
Fermentation at controlled temperatures. The grapes are harvested early in the morning and directly pressed. The must is racked and the juice is fermented at low temperatures (15°C for the Sauvignon, 16/17°C for the Grenache) in order to keep the fruits aromas. The fermentation is fairly long (between 2 and 3 weeks). The wine is aged on fine lees for about 6 months in vats, in order to give roundness and richness.
This wine has nice exotic fruits aromas, floral notes and boxtree hints. It is fresh and balanced, with a round and long palate.
The grapes for this wines come from various terroir in the Hérault departement in the Southern French Pays d'Oc region. The Grenache grapes are cultivated on old vines planted an clay-limestone soils whereas the Sauvignon comes from 15-years-old vines grown on limestone soils wich give mineral notes to the wine.
Serve at 8°C as an aperitif or with starters, fish, grilled gambas, white meat, grilled chickenand goat cheeses.
