the preservation of our environment

Les Jamelles & la R.S.E.

For many years our Les Jamelles team has been undertaking a commitment to the French government’s RSE* program (=CSR: Corporate Social Responsibility), whose objective is to contribute to sustainable development.
We have undertaken many measures. Some examples:

  • En terms of packaging: In 2019, we reduced the weight of the Les Jamelles bottles by 20%, thereby generating a savings of 470 tons of CO² per year!
  • In our winery: we use softened water in order to reduce the use of cleaning products and the roof of the ageing cellar in Monze has been transformed into a green roof for improved natural insulation.
  • In the vineyards: our 60 ha of vines at the Domaine du Trésor estate are managed according to environmentally responsible practices (level 3 HEV* certification – the highest level), such as the vineyards under contract of our winegrower partners.

*HEV = High Environmental Value, the guarantee that agricultural practices used preserve the natural ecosystem and reduce pressure on the environment (soil, water, biodiversity, etc.).

This in only a short overview of the last actions we’ve put in place.
We will soon develop this section!
